Festival activities begin at 10 am, Opening ceremony begins at 10:30 am
Come experience México on the campus of Westmont College! Días de México will be a day of fun activities, crafts, music, dance, storytelling, food and more, all celebrating the vibrant culture of México. Our Family Festival invites all families and all ages. There will be a small charge for food. The festival will take place in and around the Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art.
Limited free parking on campus will be available as well as a free Westmont shuttle will depart every 30 minutes from Scolari’s parking lot on Milpas to Westmont starting at 9:30 am.
Directions to Westmont from Eastside: Barker Pass, Right on 192 Sycamore Canyon Road, Left on Cold Spring Road.
This event is in conjunction with two exhibitions in the Museum on view from February 23 through March 31. Mexican Prints: Selections from the Gil Garcia and Marti Correa de Garcia Collection highlights historic prints from México from the 20th century, and Rafael Perea de la Cabada: Alien Heartland showcases the dynamic work of a local Mexican-Amerian artist. Perea's colorful prints, paintings and sculptures explore issues of contemporary culture in both countries.
